Parts Driver & Counterperson Apprentice

Location: Hawk Subaru, Mazda, & Chevrolet – Joliet, IL
Union: Local 179
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM (½ hour lunch)
Starting Pay: $19/hour

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Parts Driver & Counterperson Apprentice to join our parts department team. This position plays a key role in supporting daily dealership operations across Hawk Subaru, Mazda, and Chevrolet.

The ideal candidate will start each morning performing a dealership parts delivery run, followed by assisting at the parts counter as a floater between the three stores. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in both parts logistics and counter operations while developing toward a full counterperson role.

• Perform morning dealership delivery runs, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts
• Load and unload parts safely and efficiently
• Assist at the parts counter with customer and technician orders
• Learn and support counter procedures, including parts lookups, invoicing, and stocking
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department and delivery vehicles
• Follow all dealership, safety, and union policies

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Prior automotive or warehouse experience is a plus

• Union position (Local 179)
• Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends
