Logistics Security Officer
Location: Joliet, IL
Schedule: Weekends / Part-Time
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
We are seeking a reliable Logistics Security Officer to help maintain safety and security at a processing facility. This position involves both mobile and foot patrols and requires vigilance, professionalism, and adherence to established security procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mobile and foot patrols throughout the facility, monitoring for safety and security concerns.
- Control access and monitor activity in logistics and warehouse areas.
- Check and document operational conditions, including fridge temperatures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, or emergencies according to protocol.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois PERC card
- 20-hour unarmed security training certificate
- Previous security experience, preferably in logistics, warehouse, mobile, or patrol roles
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Strong observational and documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently
