Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and following proper forklift spotting procedures. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials, follow steel standard guidelines, and report unsafe situations to management.

Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer/cooler/deli area, handling claims and returns; zoning the area; receiving and stocking merchandise; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; removing damaged goods; signing and pricing merchandise; completing required audits, paperwork, logs, and other documentation; and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.

Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company's products and services.

Follow company policies and procedures for the freezer/cooler area, complying with food‑handling policies; operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment; following cold‑chain procedures when stocking; cleaning the freezer/cooler/deli area (e.g., windows, mirrors, display cases and coolers); monitoring freezer/cooler fans, drains, and doors for proper operation; and reporting issues to management.

Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $24.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
