Position is at a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is the sole employer responsible for hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at this restaurant.
ResponsibilitiesManagers lead shifts each week, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift, maintaining high standards of quality, service, cleanliness, safety, security, and profitability.
Tasks include:
- Planning for each shift
- Monitoring performance during the shift
- Taking action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards
- Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
- Communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare for a successful shift
- Meeting targets and helping assigned departments reach their goals
- Food Safety

Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Must be 18 years or older.
Pay and BenefitsCertified Shift Manager salary starts at $17 per hour, with a maximum of $26 per hour. If hired without required certifications, starting wage will be based on verifiable work history and adjusted upon completion of required certifications, such as Leadership Transitions Leadership training.
