QC Manager

Pay or shift range: $120,000 USD to $130,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job‑related reasons.

Job Summary:

The Manager of Quality Control will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization’s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization. Develop a strategic plan and QA program to improve quality. Salary ranges $120,000 - $130,000 depending on experience. Position comes with benefits that start on the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire.

• Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
• Collaborates with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
• Develop, implement, maintain all facilities QMS, including policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with ASME and NBIC certifications, and other relevant standards for valve production.
• Facilitates communication among production divisions and management.
• Monitor production processes to identify defects, non-conformances, and root causes: apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
• Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.
• Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.
• Lead internal and external audits, including supplier audits, to assess compliance with quality standard and regulatory requirements; prepare corrective action plans and follow up on implementation.
• Periodically reports the status of quality control and operations to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
• Supervises and provides guidance to all quality control personnel across all divisions and departments.

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related industrial, scientific, or business field is desired.
• Eight to 10 years of related experience desired.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Six Sigma, Lean, root‑cause analysis experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
• Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• At least five years as a quality engineer or similar role highly preferred.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
