Responsibilities
  • Triage Phone Response:
    Manage patient health concerns and symptoms via a telephone interaction using physician-approved protocols for assessment and management of a range of symptoms. Includes assessment, patient education, possible crisis intervention. Respond to and prioritize incoming patient messages and test results. Schedule appointments as needed. May schedule tests and procedures and obtain insurance prior-authorization. Review and authorize/deny provider ordered prescriptions per guidelines.

    Deliver patient education; educate patient and/or family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Respond to patient questions and provide reassurance while addressing concerns. The RN can assess the patient's medical condition and provide medical advice using Duly Health and Care protocols, Provider directive, or an approved Nursing Triage Manual.
  • Patient Documentation:
    Maintain accurate and detailed patient records; post tests and document patient education; enter all pertinent communications into the Medical Record.
  • Clinical Resource for Staff:
    Perform and delegate tasks to facilitate patient care; aware of coding and reimbursement issues. Assist in orienting and training new staff. Seek opportunities to improve nursing and leadership skills.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    Utilize current nursing practices to provide patient care focused on the needs of the patient; act as patient advocate and initial contact for patient-related issues. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure in nursing.
  • Knowledge of nursing skills in accordance with nursing standards in the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting but may consider new grad under specific circumstances.
Compensation

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $ with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
