The Clinical Supervisor provides administrative oversight of department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit.

Duties include:

• Developing and implementing departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Preparing, conducting, or overseeing orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicating with staff, physicians, and administration both in writing and verbally.
• Being responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
• Assisting the Department Director with daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
• Ensuring efficient use of time, equipment, and staff.
• Performing direct patient care only as needed, within scope of practice.
• Continuously assessing care and directing staff to make immediate changes in plans of care.

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and maintenance thereafter.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire and maintenance thereafter.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred.
• PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.

Competitive compensation of $36.75 to $55.70 per hour, inclusive of estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hiring based on factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
