Job Description
Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas, or electric‑powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices such as sit‑down, stand‑up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in a distribution center or storage yard.
Responsibilities- Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials neatly, cleanly, and orderly. Inspect assigned equipment daily. Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
- Unload inbound shipments safely, move products to storage locations, efficiently stack and store products in appropriate areas.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
- Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
- Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security, assist in physical inventories, and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy, including load count, stability of product, and safe loading/unloading.
- Coordinate with other departments/functions—especially Customer Service, Transportation, and Maintenance.
- Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go.
- Conduct operations to promote safety and report unsafe conditions that cannot be self‑corrected to the leadership team.
- Follow corporate and site‑specific Good Manufacturing Practices, report non‑compliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
M‑F 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Overtime may be required.
Pay$21.50 per hour plus $1 shift differential.
RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED; three or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to successfully complete post‑hire assessments.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g., OSHA, company, etc.).
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment, such as protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc., in accordance with safety policies.
