Position Summary
The Operations Lead plays a key role in overseeing daily warehouse and logistics operations within a third‑party logistics (3PL) environment. This position provides leadership on the floor, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to company standards, and seamless execution of client requirements. The Operations Lead acts as the bridge between frontline associates and management, driving productivity, safety, and quality while maintaining a strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory management.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates to achieve performance goals and service‑level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor labor allocation, workflow, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure all activities meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members, reinforcing company policies and SOPs.
- Support the Operations Supervisor / Manager in executing operational plans and resolving daily challenges.
- Serve as first point of escalation for associate questions, operational issues, or process deviations.
- Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
- Track and report KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, and on‑time performance.
- Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- 3–5 years of warehouse, logistics, or 3PL experience (leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and RF scanning technology.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop frontline teams.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or different shifts as business needs require.
