Shift Warehouse Lead

$19.00-$20.00 an hour

Friday-Monday or Tuesday-Friday

7:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Joliet, IL

• Oversee warehouse personnel involved in receiving, production, and shipping of products.
• Supervise up to 10 warehouse employees.
• Assist warehouse manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures.
• Supervise shipping, receiving, and packing room activities, ensuring visibility on the warehouse floor and providing team support.
• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers, ensuring secure handling and packaging.
• Supervise and participate in picking, packing, and labeling of orders.
• Promptly resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies.
• Review shipping documents and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Conduct safety inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Lead, train, motivate, coach, reward, and discipline warehouse crew to ensure productivity and safety adherence.

• 1-2 years warehouse experience.
• 1-2 years of forklift experience and 2+ years of electric pallet jack a plus.
• 1-2 years of lead or supervisory experience with strong inventory control skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and interact effectively across organizational levels.
• 1-2 years computer skills.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
