The following statements describe the major elements and requirements of the position. The Radiology Transporter transports patients to and from the Radiology Department. Other duties include darkroom duties, ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients, front‑office duties, clerical duties such as answering telephones, greeting patients, preparing requisitions for outpatients, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Transporter should demonstrate adequate knowledge of radiology terminology, good telephone etiquette, and a polite greeting of patients and visitors.

Provides clerical support using telephone, computer, office equipment, PACS, and by running errands throughout the facility.

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain it throughout employment.
• Transportation experience preferred.
• Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a high‑school diploma or equivalent.

Competitive compensation; estimated $19.20 per hour. Final amount determined at time of hiring based on skillset, experience, education, credentials and licensure.
