Overview
Rehabilitation Technician – Joliet – Physical/Occupational Therapy
Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Monday‑Friday, hours vary between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm; must work two evenings until 7:00 pm. Expected to travel to other sites for coverage.

- Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for patient care, support, and guidance, including:
- Executing plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers, including proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment and modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs).
- Utilizing appropriate educational techniques, including demonstration and cueing, to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
- Monitoring patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
- Discussing patient performance with PT/OT provider.
- Managing clinic flow: monitoring patient arrivals, starting patients on time, maintaining cleanliness of clinic, ordering supplies under direction of manager, performing front‑end tasks such as check‑in, co‑pay collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
- Communicating via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits, and scheduling management for clinicians (patient confirmation calls, rescheduling as needed).
- CPR certification (certification offered through Duly Health and Care).
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Understanding of principles, contraindications, and precautions in the use of therapy modalities.
- Ability to identify proper patient setup on each piece of equipment and adjust as needed.
- Identify planes of movement and demonstrate proper exercise positioning.
- Team‑oriented, attention to detail, follow‑through.
- Problem‑solving, lateral thinking, and reasoning skills.
- Communication skills.
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.25–$18.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
