Essential Functions
  • Supervise and monitor clinical interventions and review service documentation provided by counselors to clients in assigned geographic areas and programs; monitor productivity, expenses, and revenue of counselors; may also provide direct clinical services. Job duties may be performed in office, community, or home settings, including high‑risk communities, and may require extended hours in evenings and weekends.
  • Coach, hire, train, and supervise assigned staff, leading a team of counselors and overseeing professional development, performance, and daily operations. Maintain a trauma‑informed system of service delivery, ensuring clinicians are properly trained and supported.
  • Provide weekly clinical supervision and guidance to counselors, including group supervision. Coordinate and facilitate training programs to equip staff with necessary skills and knowledge. Oversee internship processes for students providing clinical services.
  • Maintain quality improvement processes for the team, monitoring key performance indicators and engaging the team in performance understanding and improvement strategies.
  • Review client records promptly for accuracy; review caseloads for compliance with Agency requirements; approve assessments, treatment plans, services, and other documented counselor activities promptly.
  • Navigate electronic health systems, supporting the team in maximizing utilization of electronic health records and organizational functions. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records, ensuring contract compliance, data integrity, and confidentiality standards.
  • Conduct regular treatment reviews of all open clinical cases in the region, using this forum as a key opportunity to engage stakeholders in collaborative problem solving.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to design and enhance treatment programs, incorporating best practices and innovative approaches to meet client needs. Participate actively with the clinical department in treatment strategies and programming.
  • Train and coordinate staff to respond to crisis situations in assigned areas as part of a coordinated agency response. Ensure clinical work is integrated with the care system, providing collaborative, youth‑guided, family‑driven, evidence‑based, continuously improving, and culturally competent services.
  • Provide leadership in interfacing with the local community, developing relationships with United Ways and other funders, and with other service providers to develop and maintain a coordinated system of care.
  • Oversee the utilization of outsourced clinical services, identify providers, approve referrals, and monitor quality and cost of purchased services. Manage and regularly monitor the budget for assigned cost centers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements
  • Understand a variety of treatment and counseling situations, including Solution Focused Brief Treatment, Cognitive, Family Systems, Behavioral, Crisis Intervention, and substance use and abuse. Knowledge of medication use to treat psychiatric disorders.
  • Demonstrate consistency in work and embody the WIDE (Welcoming, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity) values of LCFS.
  • Show broad management skills across all facets of running successful social service programs.
  • Understand insurance, managed care, EAP procedures, and billing requirements. Knowledge of funding options, including grants.
Background and Driving Requirements

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background checks, including criminal and Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System (CANTS) checks, as required by law and agency policy. Candidates must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and have not had a suspended or revoked license within the past three years.
