Responsibilities- Work directly with children on the autism spectrum to implement individualized behavior intervention plans and provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions.
- Collect data on behavior progress and assist with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure consistency and effectiveness in treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Accurately document and report on each session’s progress.
- Genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
- Prior experience as a Behavior Technician/Registered Behavior Technician is preferred, but comprehensive training and ongoing professional development opportunities are provided.
- Proficiency in using software or tools to collect and analyze data related to behavior progress is a plus; familiarity with tools such as Catalyst, Theralytics or other similar software is advantageous.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to run if needed for short increments.
