Control Engineer

• Design electrical control panels in compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 70, UL 508A).
• Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Oversee panel assembly, wiring, and factory acceptance testing.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other platforms).
• Configure HMI/SCADA interfaces for operator usability and system monitoring.
• Integrate drives into control systems for motor speed, torque, and position control.
• Optimize drive parameters for performance and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with mechanical, process, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless system operation.
• Conduct on‑site installation, startup, and commissioning of automation systems.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and documentation for delivered systems.

• 3+ years of professional working experience within an industrial controls, industrial equipment, automation, drive systems, machine builder, etc.. based setting
• Ability to complete system start-ups, on-site installation and commissioning of industrial control systems
• Hands‑on experience with AC/DC drives, motors, and motor control systems
• Experience working with rotating equipment such as; hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, etc..
• Experience working with; servos, motors, pumps, VFD’s/drives, sensors, actuators, etc..
• Experience working with multi‑axis motion control systems (servo motors, stepper systems, etc..)
• Ability to troubleshoot and program PLC’s (50% Allen Bradley – RSLogix/Studio 5000, 50% Siemens – TIA Portal)
• Ability to troubleshoot and program HMI (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
