Placement: Full time Faculty
Hiring Range: Base Compensation Hiring Range for 2026/2027 Academic Year: $63,770-$113,632/annually (9 months). Compensation placement based on education and related teaching/work experience.

Position SummaryAdapt to new and changing situations and demonstrate a positive attitude. Demonstrate respect for students; understand learning styles and apply understanding to institution-related activities; demonstrate integrity and promote diversity and open communications. Fifteen credit hours a semester constitute a standard load. Course assignments may be day, late afternoon, evening, Saturday, online, or at branch campuses or satellite centers. Position is subject to all terms and provisions of the Joliet Junior College faculty contract.
EssentialJob Duties and
Key Responsibilities
Intro to Business, Business Communications, Finance, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing.
- Master's Degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Expertise in appropriate technologies for instruction
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning
- Two years of teaching experience at collegiate level
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality
- Teaching experience at the community college level
- Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in teaching online and/or using course management programs
- Experience in course development and assessment, planning, quality and accreditation processes and committee service
- English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency
- Demonstrate multicultural competence
Normal classroom physical demands, along with equipment and software.
Working ConditionsDuties are performed indoors in the usual classroom and office environment.
