Responsibilities- Assist students individually or in small groups following teacher and staff guidance
- Support students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and accommodate IEP requirements as applicable
- Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care support as needed
- Maintain a safe, respectful environment that nurtures student growth and learning
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- PEL License valid for Illinois schools
- Current TB test in accordance with district regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
- Required clearances current or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Preferred: experience with special education, behavioral health, child care, or supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
- Additional certifications such as CPI, PMT, or RBT are advantageous but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative mindset
