Position: Grades 9 - 12 Grades 6 - 8 Special Education Teacher - Joliet, IL
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in the Chicago area, located in Joliet, IL. This position serves students across all grade levels, K-12, with a focus on those with learning, emotional, and autistic disabilities. The role works a typical school schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours ranging between 35 to 40 per week, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), managing a caseload of students with varying disabilities, and providing tailored support to meet educational goals. The position requires collaboration with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure students' academic and emotional needs are met effectively.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• LBS1 IL Professional Educator License (PEL) Certification covering grades K-22
• Prior experience writing IEP goals and developing individualized educational strategies
• Proven ability to work with students who have learning, emotional, and autistic disabilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills suitable for a dynamic school environment
