Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room for a Level 1 Trauma Center position in Pennsylvania requiring 1-2 years of perioperative experience and a compact or PA RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital with 22 beds
- Level 1 Trauma Center serving all ages, including ortho, gyne, OB, plastics, general, cardiovascular, neuro, urology, breast, and podiatry cases
- 1:1 patient ratio in the OR
- Varied shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
- Call required one or two times per week in 8-hour increments
- Weekend shifts every other weekend or as needed
- Floating may be required as needed
- Electronic Health Record:
Epic (no prior experience required) - Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care for surgical patients
- Charge, Level 1 trauma, and robotic experience preferred but not required
- Scrub color is blue and provided by the facility
- No casual wear is allowed in the operating room
- Weekly orientation takes place on Mondays
- All screenings must be complete and clear prior to starting
- COVID vaccine card required for consideration
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and CPI/HWC certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years of operating room nursing experience required
- Must complete Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Clearance (PATCH), and FBI fingerprinting as required
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot reside within 60 miles of the facility
- Not eligible if employed elsewhere full time
- RQI certifications are not accepted
