ResponsibilitiesBe proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area
- Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas
- Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
- Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
- Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
- Keep the product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
- Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
- Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
- Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
- Ability to work independently and with the team
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly
- Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
- Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser Leads
- Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of sales experience.
Physical Requirements /Lifting RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.
ScheduleThe schedule for this position is Fridays and Saturdays from 10‑7, and Sundays from 12‑5 with a bit of flexibility to adjust if needed.
CompensationThe rate posted is a base hourly wage.
