The major duties of the Filling Prep/Operator include preparing glaze/ice/filling mixtures, pumping mixtures into large mixing bowls to be boiled and blended, overseeing glaze/icing/filler operations, and assisting in overseeing the Honey Bun Fryer to ensure quality product. The employee records the number of batches and weights into the SAP computer program. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on‑the‑job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality, and quality.

• Preparing glaze/icing mixture:
  Operator lifts four to six bags of ingredient one at a time from pallet leveler, slides each bag onto a 36‑inch high lift table, raises the table, climbs two stairs, opens the bag with a bag opener, and empties the remaining ingredients into the mixing kettle. One batch of glaze is completed every hour.
• Dips 12 to 25 lb of one ingredient and 15 to 21 lb of another, plus 5 lb of a third, into a bucket, carries the bucket up two steps, and dumps it into the same mixing kettle.
• Pumps mixture into a large mixing bowl using a hand valve to ensure machine efficiency and product quality. After the filling is prepared, the operator uses Load Hogg to push the filler trough to the filler machine.
• Oversees the Honey Bun Fryer:
  Operates a hand valve to regulate grease pumped into the fryer and ensures temperature maintenance and efficient operation.
• Operates within the parameters of the facility’s Security Program regarding site and product security.
• Ensures that all internal food safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Global Food Safety Standards, HACCP, Safety, Sarbanes‑Oxley, etc.).
• Performs other duties deemed integral to the job, including work schedule fulfillment, attendance policy adherence, and other operating rules, policies and procedures.

• One or more years of production experience as a helper and basic knowledge of mixer procedures.

• No educational prerequisite; must demonstrate ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to the job.

Base salary: $22.81 per hour with an opportunity for an additional $2 per hour shift differential. We offer a competitive total rewards package.
