The major job duties of the Filling Prep/Operator consists of preparing glaze/ice/filling mixture, pumping mixture into large mixing bowl to be boiled and blended, overseeing glaze/icing/filler operations and assisting in overseeing the Honey Bun Fryer to ensure quality product. The employee records the number of batches and weights into the SAP computer program. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality, and/or quality.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing glaze/icing mixture: handle ingredient quantities, operate lift table and mixing kettle as described, and transfer ingredients into the mixing kettle. One batch of glaze is completed every hour.
• Pumping and feeding: operate hand valve to pump glaze/icing/filler into the mixer and ensure quality control.
• Overseeing Honey Bun Fryer: regulate grease and monitor fryer temperature to ensure proper frying of honey buns.
• Compliance and safety: operate within the facility's Security Program; follow internal food safety, quality policies, and company policies including EEO, Sexual Harassment, Global Food Safety Standards, HACCP, Safety, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Other duties: fulfill work schedules and adhere to attendance policies and other operating rules as required by management.

• One or more years of production experience as a helper and basic knowledge of mixer procedures.

• No educational prerequisite; however, must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to job.
