Overview

Position Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Marketing is responsible for leading Mobile Beacon’s multi-function marketing department. The Director of Marketing is responsible for driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer retention, and channel partner growth. This role oversees digital marketing, lifecycle/CRM marketing, and channel partner marketing, ensuring that revenue and retention goals are met as well as demonstrating Mobile Beacon’s mission-driven impact in communities.

Responsibilities
  • Sitting at the center of the organization, the goal is to develop a comprehensive and holistic marketing strategy that drives lead generation, customer acquisition, product adoption, brand awareness, and customer retention/loyalty.
  • Translate organizational goals into marketing programs and campaigns to meet acquisition and retention targets.
  • Partner closely with Sales to align MQL pipeline flow, campaign content/priorities, and sales enablement materials.
  • Own and steward the Mobile Beacon brand, including positioning, messaging, and value propositions, ensuring consistent representation across all channels.
  • Establish and manage clear KPIs across digital, lifecycle, channel, and brand marketing, driving continuous optimization while being able to point to tangible data drivers for results.
  • Strategic Planning and Market Development Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer analysis to identify new market opportunities, increase market share in target markets and expand to new target markets, and differentiate our service in the highly competitive telecom marketplace.
  • Define and refine target market segmentation and go-to-market strategies across the nonprofit, education, healthcare sectors.
  • Own the end-to-end marketing funnel performance, from awareness through conversion, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes.
  • Build and manage multi-touch drip campaigns for customer segmentations including customer type, geographic location, product utilization, place in customer retention cycle, to build and maintain customer loyalty and longevity.
  • Demand Generation, Digital & Performance Marketing Oversee paid media, website strategy, e-commerce, SEO/SEM, content production, and conversion optimization to meet inbound lead and MQL targets.
  • Maintain website and digital experiences to effectively communicate value, create engagement, and convert high-intent audiences.
  • Leverage performance data to continuously refine channel mix, messaging, and investment strategy.
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment Successful track record in building, leading, and mentoring a high-performing marketing team by establishing clear roles, goals, expectations, metrics and accountability.
  • Partner with Sales and Service teams to ensure marketing efforts directly support pipeline health, revenue targets, and long-term customer value.
  • Partner with the sales team to provide the necessary marketing tools to drive sales results for the company.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and refine strategies that drive customer retention, upsell opportunities, and account growth.
  • Foster a culture of solution-based thinking, fostering creativity, calculated risk taking, accountability, shared commitment to everyone’s success, continuous improvement, and mission alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Leadership and internal teams to communicate the organization’s strategy, performance, and impact.
