As part of our growth, we are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee credit risk governance and analytics for our Private Banking portfolio.

About

The Role

As the Head of Private Bank 1st Line Credit Risk
, you will lead a high-impact team responsible for safeguarding the credit quality of Citizens’ Private Banking portfolio. This strategic leadership role oversees credit risk governance, analytics, and policy management across consumer and commercial products. You will partner with senior stakeholders to ensure robust risk frameworks, accurate reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards—all while driving innovation in credit risk tools and processes.

What

You’ll Do
  • Lead and Manage:
    Oversee a team of senior risk managers and analytics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Risk Governance:
    Propose, review, and manage credit risk KRIs/KPIs to monitor portfolio health.
  • Analytics & Reporting:
    Partner with internal analytics teams (ED&A, CPAR) to deliver actionable insights and comprehensive credit risk reporting.
  • Asset Quality Reviews:
    Organize and lead AQRs for all consumer and commercial products.
  • Policy Oversight:
    Conduct annual credit policy reviews and attestations; propose policy changes and manage approval processes with 2nd line.
  • Exception & Outlier Management:
    Build and maintain reporting for loans outside policy and ensure accuracy of exception reporting.
  • Data Integrity:
    Ensure systemic accuracy in automated credit decisions and maintain data integrity across source systems.
  • Model Development:
    Collaborate with 2nd line oversight on models, loss frameworks, and associated tools.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Coordinate with credit officers, portfolio risk management, internal audit, and regulatory bodies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience:

    10+ years in credit risk management, with significant leadership experience in consumer and commercial lending.
  • Expertise:
    Strong knowledge of credit policy, risk analytics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Skills:

    Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.
