Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fixed Asset & Project Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing fixed asset accounting and project-related financial activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal bank policies.
Primary responsibilities include- Manage fixed asset lifecycle including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
- Create and manage assets for various project categories including ATM, Software (SW), Real Estate (RE), and Other.
- Update project statuses and perform asset retirements.
- Reconcile depreciation and prepare roll forward schedules.
- Record gain/loss entries on asset disposals.
- Reconcile mass additions and post them monthly.
- Prepare monthly retirement summaries and NBV (Net Book Value) reports.
- Reconcile NBV for both financial and tax books.
- Run and update automated interface job reports.
- Generate RE additions reports and perform project status sweeps.
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting (fixed asset or project accounting preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in banking or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of GAAP and asset management principles
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar systems
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule:
8am - 430pm
Position is based out of Johnston, RI office and is currently 4 days onsite/week once fully trained (subject to change)
