Overview

The Teller I works in a TD Store location and delivers legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency. They educate customers on TD's products and services or refer them to a partner for specialized solutions.

• Executes TD's Brand promise to customers by delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store.
• Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments.
• Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with a high level of accuracy.
• Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures; escalates to management as necessary.
• Engages in lobby leadership by guiding customer flow, warmly welcoming customers, and directing them appropriately.
• Understands customer banking preferences and educates customers on self-service/digital options that meet their needs.
• Acts as an advocate for the customer by conducting needs-based conversations; offers financial and digital solutions or refers to appropriate partners.
• Makes sound decisions and provides timely problem resolution, escalating more difficult issues to management.
• Ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) to minimize risk and protect customers.
• Verifies customers' identities by following authentication policies and procedures.
• Balances cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Recyclers as necessary; adheres to safe deposit box procedures.
• Maintains cash limits and secures cash; protects confidential customer information; follows dual control; adheres to security and audit measures.
• Uses bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud.
• Completes all required in-classroom and online training by established due dates.

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months work-related experience preferred; or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience
• Ability to work during operating hours including weekends, evenings, holidays as scheduled
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Excellent communication skills with ability to be concise, clear and consistent
