Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Annually
Job SummaryThe Industrial Machine Service Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and repairs CNC metal fabrication and advanced manufacturing equipment at customer sites across North America. This role requires strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system expertise, along with the ability to train customers and represent the company professionally in the field.
Responsibilities- Travel to customer locations (up to 75%) to install, commission, service, and troubleshoot CNC machines, fiber lasers, press brakes, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motion-control issues.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, control panels, and communication networks.
- Program and configure PLCs, VFDs, servos, and HMIs as required.
- Install, test, calibrate, and repair electronic and control-system components.
- Provide on-site customer training on machine operation, safety, and routine maintenance.
- Document machine conditions, service work performed, and improvement recommendations.
- Serve as the on-site technical representative, including acting as hands and eyes for remotely connected OEM partners when needed.
- Interpret and update electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support engineering with equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations.
- Perform all work in compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC or industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Experience using electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and precision measuring instruments.
- Proficient with Microsoft software and basic file management.
- Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to use forklifts, hand tools, and electronic test equipment (multimeters, calibrators, oscilloscopes, etc.).
