Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a compact or TN RN license and cardiovascular stepdown experience.

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a cardiovascular stepdown patient population
• Night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Floating to Med Surg units required, with patient ratios up to 1:7 when floated
• No on-call requirements
• General orientation starts on Sundays with online learning modules
• RN team members are expected to support nursing student education in addition to clinical care
• Must participate in orientation totaling 16 hours
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly due to census without penalty
• No local candidates accepted

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular PCU or stepdown experience
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital's service area
• Accepts first-time travelers
