Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) night shift position, requiring a TN or compact RN license and a strong background in telemetry.

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:30 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required, with patient ratios of up to 1:7 when floated to Medical-Surgical units
• RNs are expected to actively support and educate nursing students as part of their clinical duties
• General orientation includes online CBL modules starting on Sundays
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation provided
• Hospital may cancel or call off one shift every two weeks due to census needs
• Floating to Medical-Surgical units may occur as needed

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Certifications required: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility location
• First-time travelers are accepted
