Job specification

• Provide direct care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in the pediatric intensive care unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medication, and perform advanced nursing procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients' families about their conditions and treatment options, and provide emotional support.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Candidate requirements

• A Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)).
• Must have Passed the NCLEX-RN exam to become a licensed registered nurse (RN) or Nurse Licensure Compact
• Specialized training or certification in pediatric critical care nursing. This may include certification from a recognized nursing organization such as the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
