Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with no call requirements

• Floating required to medical surgical units with 1:7 ratios when needed

• PCU patient ratio 1:5, medical surgical ratio 1:7

• Weekend coverage required: 2 Saturday and 2 Sunday shifts per schedule period for days, 6 Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts per period for nights

• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation

• Must accept 1st time travelers with 2 years of experience required

• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS

• Must maintain permanent residence 100 miles or greater from hospital service area

• Care for adult patients with daily census of 33 in a 33-bed unit

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions

• Special procedures include dialysis and peritoneal dialysis

• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education

• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date

• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines

• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
