POSITION SUMMARY

As the Senior Accountant, you are responsible for overseeing General Ledger Reconciliations, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to internal controls. You are responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of Regulatory reports and select financial reports. You will serve as backup to the Assistant Controller and other Accounting staff as needed. As a representative of the Bank, you are required to present a positive and professional image at all times and be extremely flexible to meet the overall demands of the of the Accounting Department.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in Accounting or related field required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee General Ledger Reconciliations, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to internal controls
  • Reconcile selected General Ledger accounts accurately and timely
  • Complete regulatory reports accurately and by the deadlines
  • Prepare select financial reports accurately and by the established timeframe
  • Prepare financial statements accurately and by the established deadline as a back‑up to the Assistant Controller
  • Utilize SNL Global website to pull peer data and other information as needed
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
  • Consistently support, uphold and model the organization’s core values and standards
  • Complete other duties as assigned as determined by management to be reasonable and beneficial
Physical Requirements

This position largely operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively with auditors, board members, regulators, management, and employees. Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential. Remaining in a stationary position frequently operating a computer for extended periods of time is common. Must be able to accurately gather and process verbal and written information and properly prepare or inspect documents.

Good manual dexterity is needed for the frequent use of common, and mobile office equipment, such as computer terminals, calculators, copiers and telephones. Occasional out‑of‑town or overnight travel may be required.
