Appalachian Vascular and Interventional Radiology (AVIR), an independent, physician-owned practice based in Johnson City, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding team at Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) a 400-bed tertiary care facility, Level I Trauma Center, and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center. Our practice provides advanced, minimally invasive, image-guided care across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, improving access to high-quality medicine throughout the Appalachian Highlands.
About Our Practice
AVIR holds the exclusive contract for Interventional and Neurointerventional Radiology with Ballad Health, a large not-for-profit health system serving over one million residents. We have a dedicated outpatient IR clinic and a team of five experienced Advanced Practice Providers who manage inpatient consultations and routine procedures. This allows our physicians to focus on complex, high-end interventions, innovation, and program development. Our service line includes a wide breadth of procedures oncologic (Y-90, chemo embolization), hepatobiliary, genitourinary, peripheral vascular, venous, dialysis access, trauma, and MSK embolization.
We continue to grow rapidly, adding new service lines that bring advanced IR care to rural communities that previously lacked access.
