Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist - United Health Services in Binghamton, NY

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for utilizing training and skills to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician.

Essential Duties:

Obtain medical histories when necessary

Perform physician exams
Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases (within protocol guidelines)
Order diagnostic test
Prescribe or recommend medications for prescriptions for medications and treatment (within protocol guidelines)
Provide preventive health screenings and immunizations
Assure charts are completed timely
Make follow up calls to check patient's progress
Consult with physician regarding patient's symptoms to assure proper diagnosis and plan of treatment
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Master's degree in nursing

Certified Nurse Practitioner
Licensed in the State of New York

Binghamton, NY is located 2.5 hours north of New York City and 1 hour from Syracuse, NY. The position includes a competitive starting salary range of $135,300 to $157,800 a highly competitive sign on bonus, annual bonus incentives, moving expenses, and a vast array of employment benefits including a robust retirement plan.
