Certification Details
- Ensure clinical Audiological services are administered and completed timely, accurately, and reliably.
- Serve inpatients, outpatients, home care patients, nursing home patients, hospital staff, affiliated employees, vendors, and community groups.
- Apply principles, methods, and procedures of measurement, prediction, non-medical diagnosis, and testing related to auditory and vestibular disorders.
- Administer, interpret, and supervise Clinical Audiological Services.
- Perform complete audiological evaluations including air, bone, and speech.
- Conduct middle ear analysis, site of lesion testing, ototoxic medication monitoring, NICU hearing screening, CAP testing, electro-physiological testing, industrial hearing screening, and hearing aid evaluations.
- Select, fit, and follow-up on amplification devices.
- Provide counseling for hearing-impaired individuals or groups.
- Perform minor repair and modification of hearing instruments.
- Assist with program development and collect data for Continuing Quality Assurance programs.
- Provide services referred by physicians or mandated by New York State.
- Maintain contracts as a community provider.
- Gather data for statistical review and prepare reports for referring physicians on diagnostic findings and rehabilitation recommendations.
- Maintain medical records for compliance with OSHM, JCAHO, and certifying organizations standards.
- Abide by Service Delivery Standards.
Job Details
- Master's Degree in Audiology required.
- New York State license required.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
