Position SummaryAs an Assistant Store Manager
, you will assist the Store Manager in creating an environment that provides the best shopping experience for soccer players, coaches, referees, and enthusiasts. You will help achieve financial objectives—including sales, payroll, and store metrics—by leading a team that feels valued, challenged, and retained.
- Assure achievement of financial objectives, including sales, payroll, and metrics.
- Assure effective implementation and execution of company plans and strategies.
- Create an in‑store shopping experience that exceeds the Customer’s expectations and is personalized with excellence.
- Support consistent operations and merchandising initiatives to create a unique experience.
- Assure support in the continued development and retention of high‑caliber talent that leads by example and prioritizes customer service.
- Ensure proper store compliance regarding safety, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the Store Manager to achieve priorities, ensuring alignment within store personnel and among leadership peers. Provide actionable insight that can be replicated for success across the field organization.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure continued execution of strategic initiatives, focusing on action steps and positive impact. Support management of all procedures and process improvements needed to address operational inefficiencies.

Collaboration:
Maintain strong relationships to promote collaboration and alignment. Share feedback with the Store Manager regarding operational challenges, communication effectiveness, and other relevant issues. - Team Leadership & Development: Support needed development, motivation, and direction within the store team, including onboarding, training, and ongoing feedback. Partner with the Store Manager for continued development.
- Other Responsibilities: Serve as a thought partner, provide insights and recommendations, champion the store’s culture and values, and promote an environment of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
- 1+ years of management experience.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to build strong relationships within the store team.
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage, motivate, and communicate at multiple levels.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop people.
- Must exercise problem‑solving analysis, decision‑making, and strong working knowledge of retail procedures.
- Ability to influence at multiple levels and work effectively to drive behavior change.
- Work in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable retail store location setting.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
