Compensation

  • Firefighter Paramedic: $66,740 – $75,996 per year (additional Paramedic Bonus of $2,500 annually)
  • Firefighter EMT: $57,764 – $65,774 per year
  • Advertised pay does not include FLSA overtime and holiday earnings
  • Sign-on bonus: $5,000 after the completion of one year

Your New Role

Working on a 48/96-hour rotation with 10 shifts per month, you will respond to emergency calls, including fires, medical incidents, rescues, and hazardous materials incidents. You will provide immediate medical care and support to patients and operate firefighting and emergency medical equipment with precision, collaborating with fellow firefighters and first responders to ensure a coordinated and efficient response.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • National Registry or Georgia State-certified EMT Basic, EMT Intermediate, EMT Advanced, or Paramedic
  • BLS Certification
  • NPQ Firefighter I
  • NPQ Firefighter II
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in high-stress environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • No felony convictions
  • 2+ years of experience as a certified Firefighter with a paid professional fire department
  • 20/20 vision with or without correction
  • Ability to hear within the normal range with or without correction
  • 18 years or older
