Overview

Hire Resolve’s client in the Logistics Industry, is seeking the expertise of a Fleet Controller to join their team in Gauteng. The Fleet Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fleet of vehicles in the logistics industry. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate the daily activities of drivers and vehicles in the fleet

Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Track vehicle locations and schedules using GPS systems and logistics software

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation

Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and driver hours

Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods

Implement safety protocols and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards

Provide leadership and guidance to the fleet team to ensure smooth operations and high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements:

3 + Years of proven experience in fleet management or logistics operations

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)

Knowledge of logistics operational procedures and documentation
