Salary: R12,500 – R16,000 per month (depending on skills and experience)

Hybrid or In-office: In-office with on-site installations

Our client is a specialist custom home cinema and audiovisual installation business delivering high-end, turnkey cinema room builds. They combine precision craftsmanship, premium finishes, integrated lighting and immersive AV solutions for residential clients across Gauteng and surrounding areas.

The Cinema Room Builder / Cabinet Maker will play a key hands-on role in the construction, fabrication and installation of custom cinema rooms. The position is suited to an experienced shopfitter, cabinet maker or interior installer with strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship, working both in a workshop environment and on-site.

• Manufacture and install wall panelling, acoustic panels, cabinetry and bulkheads
• Install LED and bulkhead lighting systems to specification (low-voltage)
• Assist with basic room construction, including framing, boarding and finishing
• Read and interpret drawings, plans and layouts accurately
• Ensure all work meets quality, safety and finish standards
• Work collaboratively with project managers and installation teams
• Support and mentor junior team members on site when required
• Occasionally assist with audiovisual and control installations
• Travel to client sites within Johannesburg and surrounding areas as needed
• 3–5 years’ experience in shopfitting, cabinetry, carpentry or interior fit-outs
• Strong experience with wall panel systems and bulkhead construction
• Proven LED lighting installation experience
• Excellent understanding of finishes, alignment and detailing
• Electrical or low-voltage LED certification advantageous
• AV installation experience beneficial but not essential
• Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
