Diesel Generator Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Generator Mechanic to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and Commissioning:
  Install and commission diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Maintenance and Repair:
  Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel generators, including troubleshooting and fault-finding.
• Troubleshooting:
  Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Quality Control:
  Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with industry best practices.
• Safety:
  Ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Qualifications:
  
  Relevant trade qualification (e.g. N3-N6) or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years' experience working with diesel generators and associated equipment.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, electrical systems, and mechanical systems.
• Problem-Solving:
  Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication:
  Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Physical Ability:
  Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
