Automotive Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Opportunity to work in Ireland
Conduct thorough electrical diagnostics and fault-finding on a wide range of vehicles,
including cars, trucks, and other automotive equipment.
• Interpret and analyse diagnostic reports, wiring diagrams, and technical data to
identify electrical problems accurately.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components, such as alternators, starters, ignition
systems, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
• Install, configure, and calibrate electrical systems, including aftermarket accessories
and advanced vehicle technology.
• Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to address complex vehicle issues
that involve both electrical and mechanical components.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair
techniques through continuous learning and training.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and
industry standards at all times.
• Document all repairs, diagnostic procedures, and parts used accurately in the
company's records or computer systems.
• Assist in educating customers about their vehicle's electrical systems and provide
recommendations for preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, fostering positive
relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Working knowledge of auto data systems.
Requirements:
• 3 – 5 years Dealer Experience preferrable.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
• Capability & knowledge of building wiring looms would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as mustimeters,
oscilloscopes, scan tools, and software applications
Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical
issues effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and precautions when working with electrical
systems.
• Certification or relevant qualifications in Auto Electrical or Automotive Diagnostics is
highly desirable.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
professionally.
• Capability and knowledge of building wiring looms would be advantageous.
