Job overview:
Hire Resolve's client, a leading Water and Environmental Consulting company, is seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join their team in Johannesburg. As a Junior Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for supporting senior hydro geologists in conducting water resource assessments, groundwater modeling, and environmental site investigations. The candidate's primary focus will be on data collection, data interpretation, reporting and sub-contractor supervision.
Responsibilities:
Fieldwork including: hydro-census, geology, groundwater sampling, geophysical sampling, drilling supervision, pump testing, soils classificationProject and client communication: adhere to appropriate procedures for geophysical techniques, high standard of field documentation, health and safety policies and procedures and administrative submissionsScheduling and booking of resourcesMaintenance of equipmentMaintenance and calibration of equipment according to standardsQualifications:Bachelors of Honours degree in HydrogeologyEligible to register with SACNASP (Pr Sci Nat)1-2 years of experience in hydrogeological fieldwork and data analysisProficiency in the use of hydrogeological software and toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in fieldwork and data interpretationKnowledge of applicable regulatory frameworks and environmental guidelinesStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksValid driver's license and willingness to travel to project siteContact:
