Job Description
Our client is hiring an Executive to drive sales growth and profitability within the Spare Parts division by developing and maintaining strong customer and dealer relationships, implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, and ensuring excellent service delivery, accurate reporting, and efficient use of systems such as SAP and Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Achieve and exceed spare parts sales targets in line with company objectives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, fleet customers and key accounts.
Identify new business opportunities, growth areas and potential customers within the market.
Provide professional advice to customers on spare parts solutions, availability, pricing and delivery.
Prepare and follow up on quotations, orders and backorders to ensure maximum conversion and customer satisfaction.
Support promotional campaigns and special offers to drive parts sales volumes.
Dealer and Customer Support
Act as the primary point of contact for dealers and customers regarding spare parts requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders, returns and warranty claims.
Assist dealers in stock planning and parts availability forecasting.
Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently, ensuring high service standards and long-term relationships.
Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups to strengthen partnerships and identify additional sales opportunities.
Marketing and Market Intelligence
Support the implementation of marketing and promotional initiatives for spare parts.
Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity, pricing and customer needs.
Assist in the development of parts sales strategies and business plans aligned to overall company goals.
Ensure customers are informed about new products, technical updates and special campaigns.
Reporting and Administration
Compile and maintain accurate sales, stock and customer reports using Excel and SAP.
Monitor sales performance, order status, backorders and delivery lead times.
Analyse sales data, trends and variances to support management decision-making.
Ensure all transactions, pricing and discounts are captured correctly in SAP.
Maintain up-to-date customer and dealer records on all relevant systems.
Systems and Process Compliance
Utilise SAP for order processing, invoicing, stock enquiries, reporting and customer management.
Apply strong Excel skills for sales analysis, forecasting, reporting and performance tracking.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Support continuous improvement of sales processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or Automotive Studies (advantageous).
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in spare parts sales within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
Proven experience working with SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts and dealer operations.
Advanced Excel skills (reporting, data analysis, pivot tables, forecasting).
Practical working experience on SAP (sales orders, stock management, invoicing and reporting).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation, customer service and relationship management abilities.
Analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Professional selling skills and a results-driven approach.
Proactive, self-motivated and customer-focused with strong problem-solving capability.
