Lead Development Representative – Middle East and Africa (MEA)

Location:

South Africa (remote) or Cairo, Egypt (hybrid – 50% in‑office).

Employment Type:

Full Time, Permanent.

The Lead Development Representative’s purpose is to identify, develop and qualify business for AVEVA’s Direct Sales team. This role follows up on inbound leads from demand generation activities and manages an outbound book of business through account research and omnichannel prospecting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and qualify new opportunities for AVEVA Sales and Inside Sales Account Managers, working both inbound leads created via marketing campaigns and outbound research and prospecting.
  • Work closely with local marketing, sales, technical sales and other stakeholders to generate and progress opportunities in alignment with market priorities.
  • Apply basic solution knowledge, industry‑specific value propositions and an understanding of go‑to‑market strategy; conduct research, plan and produce simple business presentations for internal and external delivery.
  • Leverage social media, email and phone to qualify and convert leads into opportunities for sales and account managers.
  • Meet and exceed personal KPIs including business development activities, booked meetings and opportunities transferred.
  • Manage leads using the AVEVA Lead Management process and update CRM records accordingly.
  • Support marketing activities such as campaigns, events and webinars where appropriate.
  • Travel occasionally to engage with sales and marketing in the field may be required.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or professional sales/inside sales/SDR‑related experience.
  • Initiative‑taking, results‑oriented with a positive and outgoing personality.
  • Enthusiastic collaborator and self‑starter. Hunter mentality, tackles tasks with energy and commitment.
  • Quick to adopt new skills, motivated for career development and willing to continuously improve understanding of the value proposition for AVEVA’s solutions.
  • Skills to identify market trends and opportunities for the nominated territory, refining lead development plans to take advantage of such opportunities.
  • Confident communicator via phone and e‑mail; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening skills, able to determine the best solutions for challenges voiced by prospects, and describe them effectively to the sales team.
  • Arabic language skills at a business level.
