Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg
Description- Understanding the specific markets and client’s expectations and to achieve a successful conversion of business to successfully execute the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of client proposals
Project Research
Research and analysis on various markets is a large element of this role.
Increase conversion rate for quotes and meet targets
- Offering of competitive rates and relevance to market
- Adhere to turnaround time
- Presentation of proposals
- Follow-up of all quotations
- Delivering of world class service
- Liaising between Business Development, Contracting and Sales
- Understanding your specific market and the competition in order to achieve the main goal of ensuring our agents are competitive within the market
- Maintaining good relationships with the suppliers in order to achieve these goals
Client Relationships
- To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is achieved with best product and pricing.
- To continually look at creative ideas and review products offered to clients
- To build and retain relationships with clients with effective communication
- To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously
- To follow-up with clients and leads through Market Managers
- Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when and if required
Team Work
- To build and maintain good relationships within the Sense of Africa team and the business units within Tourvest Destination Management
- Travelling with our agents may be required
- Commitment to and building relationships our preferred partners
- Ensure that the best rates are negotiated and secured
- Understanding supplier products to ensure best product for client
- Actively source new products and creative ideas
- Always work according to the supplier strategy
- Priority to be given to all Tourvest Product
Learning and Development
- Develop product knowledge on an ongoing basis
- Attend industry events/seminars/webinars and participate in supplier workshops, educational trips and trade shows
- Keep abreast of industry trends
- Matric
- Tertiary Qualification in Tourism an advantage
- Operations in Groups and FITS an advantage
- Attention to detail is essential
- A mature approach when dealing with people
- Capacity for dealing with employers and workers at all levels
- Confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with people
- Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Integrity and Honesty
- Good interpersonal skills
- Negotiation and liaison ability
The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
