Our client in the catering industry is looking for a well seasoned Pastry Chef to join their team
Minimum requirements:
  • Matric (Grade 12) is required
  • Culinary diploma, certificate, or formal qualification in Pastry & Confectionery
  • Advanced pastry, baking, or patisserie training preferred
  • Plan and manage daily pastry production
  • Menu development
  • Decorate and present desserts to the highest visual and taste standards
  • Oversee portion control, recipe costing, and yield management to minimise waste
  • Order, receive, and manage pastry ingredients and supplies
  • Maintain strict adherence to halaal certification requirements
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior pastry staff
  • Operate and maintain pastry equipment
