About the Role: The Learning Programme Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all training programmes offered by the organisation meet the rigorous accreditation standards set by South African regulatory bodies, primarily the Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). This position is responsible for overseeing the entire accreditation process, from initial application through to maintaining compliance, and for ensuring all learning materials are aligned with these standards and are continuously updated through robust quality assurance processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccreditation Management:
- Ensure the process of obtaining and maintaining accreditation for all learning programmes with relevant SETAs and the QCTO.
- Prepare all necessary documentation, applications, and reports to regulatory bodies.
- Act as the primary liaison with SETA and QCTO representatives during audits and site visits.
- Monitor changes in accreditation requirements and ensure the organisation remains fully compliant.
Material Alignment and Development:
- Ensure all existing and new learning materials (e.g., learner guides, facilitator guides, assessment tools) are fully aligned with SETA and QCTO standards, unit standards, and qualification requirements.
- Work closely with learning material developers and subject matter experts to integrate compliance requirements into programme design.
- Review and approve learning materials for compliance before implementation.
- Have all the courses available and aligned to roll out on the electronic LMS
- Implement and manage a robust quality assurance system for all learning materials and programme delivery.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of materials and processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Develop and implement corrective actions as needed to address non-compliance or quality gaps.
- Ensure all material updates are systematically managed and version controlled.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all accreditation statuses, applications, communications, and material approvals.
- Prepare regular reports on compliance status, risks, and recommended actions for senior management.
- Develop and update internal policies and procedures related to accreditation and quality assurance.
- Proven experience in managing SETA and QCTO accreditation processes.
- In-depth knowledge of the South African National Qualifications Framework (NQF), SAQA, SETA, and QCTO policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of learning programme design and development principles including integrating them online (Moodle)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Office based in Allans Nek, JHB, GP – Hybrid option after probation
