Position: Test Engineer / Analyst
Key Responsibilities:Test Analysis, Planning, Design, Execution, and Reporting of Test PlanUser Acceptance Testing (User acceptance criteria review)Administering the process of testing / ensuring that the testing is carried out as per the defined standards and proceduresDocument the test results and deviationsCreation of the test-specific status reports and final reportsParticipating in and attending the test procedure walk-throughDeveloping, Optimizing, and Maintaining manual and automated test suitesUsing associated test data to design and develop test procedures and casesDeveloping test-product documentation / Test Plans and EvidenceQuality assurance of non-functional areas such as performance and securityCollaborate with business analysts, developers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to ensure the solution meets needs across business unitsReview and understand release notes and sequenceBuild and retain critical in‐depth knowledge of the systems and processes developed and maintainedShare system knowledge with business usersStaying updated about the latest test approaches and toolsAchieving the overall technical and functional acceptance and approval
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
Relevant Commerce degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Investment Management, or Business ManagementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHigher grade math (or equivalent) passed with a B average.ISTQB/ISEB certificate will be beneficialMultilingual (Advantageous)Experience:At least 3 years’ experience in a Financial Adviser firm, Financial Services Customer Service, or an Investment Platform businessAt least 2 years’ Software Testing experienceExperience in solving complex problems for customers (internal or external)Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teamsExperience working in a fast-paced, proactive, and delivery focused environmentsFamiliar with Agile project methodology and common testing tools. e.g., Jira/Confluence/ZephyrAbility to write test documentation such as test plans, scripts + reportsStrong technical skills and abilities, including databases and SQLKnowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Skilled at testing processes and methodologiesAbility to create UAT test plans, cases, and scriptsKnowledge
Required:
A successful candidate will show:A deep understanding of investment and life products (to subject matter expert level) to talk about investments confidentlyAn understanding of financial services regulation as it relates to investment platform providersAn in-depth understanding of providing solutions and experiences that delight financial advisersA clear understanding of how an adviser’s business worksA clear understanding of the competitive landscape for our platformA strong understanding of change management processesAbility to work systematically with exceptional attention to detailGreat communication skills, both written and verbal
