We’re a team of 45+ specialists based in Johannesburg, covering strategy, creative, PR, events and content production — all working together to deliver work that makes an impact.
We’re looking for a Head of PR with around 10 years’ experience to lead our PR department.
This role requires both strategic know-how and hands-on delivery, with a particular focus on sport, entertainment and lifestyle brands. You’ll oversee a growing team, shape the PR approach across a diverse client portfolio, and play a key role in strengthening Levergy’s reputation as a leader in passion marketing.
What you’ll do- Lead, mentor and inspire the Levergy PR team (approx. 4 people), unlocking people growth and creating an energised, high-performing environment.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, providing senior strategic counsel across PR and influencer activity.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, strategically sound PR and influencer campaigns; from concept through to flawless execution.
- Build and nurture media, influencer and industry relationships to maximise opportunities in sport, entertainment and lifestyle sectors.
- Oversee influencer and talent partnerships, including negotiation and contract management, ensuring value and impact.
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, events and content teams to ensure integrated solutions that amplify sponsor ships and big ideas.
- Champion best-practice tools, processes and ways of working, while staying ahead of industry trends and innovations.
- Drive post-campaign measurement and reporting, ensuring insights translate into stronger results and ongoing optimisation.
- 10 years’ experience in PR, with proven expertise in sport, entertainment and lifestyle sectors.
- Experience leading and developing a direct reports.
- Strong network of media and influencer relationships.
- A tertiary qualification in PR, Communications, or Advertising.
- A passion for sport, entertainment and culture — and the ability to turn that passion into powerful PR solutions.
