We’re seeking a driven, creative, and forward-thinking Social Media Manager who is as passionate about social media as we are. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for popular culture and industry trends, and brings a fresh outlook to everything they do. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has a knack for ideating compelling content, and knows how to position brands to stand out in the crowded online space.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute innovative social media strategies and content plans for a variety of clients.
• Work alongside our Content Lead to create and curate engaging content that aligns with brand voices and resonates with clients' audiences.
• Work alongside the agency's design and copywriting teams, and direct the creation of all design collateral required for social media pages.
• Stay on the pulse of popular culture, industry trends, and emerging social media platforms to keep our strategies and content plans fresh and relevant.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal departments and teams (account management, influencer marketing, media & press, etc.) to ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
• Support and manage a Community Manager to ensure consistent and effective community engagement that sets our brands apart and builds brand loyalty.
• Oversee and manage paid media / social media boosting by working closely with the agency's paid media specialists (including budget allocation and performance tracking).
• Lead social media projects from concept through to execution, ensuring attention to detail and excellence.
• Work alongside internal teams to prepare and execute crisis communications strategies, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging during challenging situations.
• Be a custodian for the agency's clients, ensuring that clients' needs and interests are prioritised in all efforts.
• Act as your clients' social media contact when necessary, while building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with clients, and addressing client concerns and inquiries promptly with a can-do attitude.
• Social media management and live posting at events and activations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager (2-3 years experience), preferably within an advertising or digital agency.
• Bonus: A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to ideate engaging and innovative social media content.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Linked In, Tik Tok, You Tube, etc.) and their best practices.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with social media management / analytics tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about social media, popular culture, and staying ahead of industry trends.
